01 / What we do

Investigate. Audit. Plan.

This is no automated audit. An audit that does not understand your business specific situation and requirements, is just useless. Once we have a clear picture, we audit the website, to catch the small mistakes that are dragging it down, while looking for opportunities to leverage in your favor. Finally, we review and prioritize all necessary fixes and recommended changes, so you can act on our findings straight away.

02 / Pick an audit

Which audit fits your business best?

We currently offer three SEO audits for small and medium businesses, each built around the way buyers in that vertical actually search and convert. Pick the one that fits, or use the decision aid if you're not sure.

03 / Process

How an Illucrum audit works

Every audit follows the same process, regardless of which vertical you're in. The deliverable is the same: a scored report with prioritised fixes and a clear action plan.

  1. Intake (Day 1)

A written exchange or a brief call to understand your business, your goals, and what counts as success.

  2. Crawl and tooling (Days 1 to 3)

Business and industry research and automated crawls and tool-based analysis.

  3. Manual review (Days 3 to 5)

The 52-point checklist applied by hand. This is where the real findings come from; tools alone miss roughly half of what an experienced auditor catches.

  4. Scoring and report (Days 5 to 8)

Each finding is scored by impact and effort. The result is an audit with a prioritised action plan, not a 200-page dump.

06 / FAQ

Common questions

The questions that come up before most engagements. The full FAQ lives on its own page.

What's the difference between the three audits?

Different business types, need their websites to fulfill slightly different roles. Therefore, it only makes sense to approach each website type slightly differently, taking into account its specifics. SaaS websites focus more on the customer acquisition funnel, while e-commerce websites need to make sure the catalog and product pages are clean and useful so they can be found directly on Google.

How long does an audit take to deliver?

Five to eight days from intake to final report. We don't promise 24-hour manual audits because they don't exist. To make a useful audit, one needs to spend the necessary time understanding and analyzing your website and competitors.

Does the audit include implementation?

No, the audit is a standalone deliverable. You can implement the changes yourself, or we can help you with that too. But that would be a separate service.

How is this different from running an SEO tool?

A tool gives you data. An audit interprets the data according to your current situation and needs, prioritises what matters, and tells you what to ignore.
