Audit. Optimise. Build.
We start every engagement with an audit because growth without diagnosis is gambling. Once you know what's holding the site back, the next steps become obvious: either we optimise what's already there, or we rebuild from a stronger foundation. You stay in control at every step.

How an Illucrum audit works
Every audit follows the same five-stage process, regardless of which vertical you're in. The deliverable is the same: a scored report with prioritised fixes and a clear action plan.
-
Intake (Day 1)
A short brief call or written exchange to understand your business, your goals, and what counts as success.
-
Crawl and tooling (Days 1 to 3)
Automated crawls and tool-based analysis across GSC, PageSpeed Insights, Ahrefs, Lighthouse, and Screaming Frog.
-
Manual review (Days 3 to 5)
The 46-point checklist applied by hand. This is where the real findings come from; tools alone miss roughly half of what an experienced auditor catches.
-
Scoring and report (Days 5 to 8)
Each finding is scored by impact and effort. The result is a prioritised action plan, not a 200-page dump.
Why SEO still matters in 2026

Common questions
The questions that come up before most engagements. The full FAQ lives on its own page.
What's the difference between the three audits?
Each audit applies the same 46-point framework but weights the checks for the way buyers in that vertical actually search and convert. The SaaS audit emphasises funnel-stage content, comparison pages, and trial paths. The e-commerce audit emphasises technical health, product and category pages, and schema. The website audit is the general-purpose version for service businesses and informational sites.
How long does an audit take to deliver?
Five to eight business days from intake to final report. We don't promise 24-hour audits because they don't exist; a real audit requires both automated crawls and manual review.
Does the audit include implementation?
No, the audit is a standalone deliverable. Implementation is scoped separately based on what the audit surfaces. Most clients implement the highest-impact fixes themselves and bring us in for the rest, but you choose what fits.
How is this different from running an SEO tool?
A tool gives you data. An audit interprets the data, prioritises what matters, and tells you what to ignore. Most teams have access to tools and still don't know what to do next. That's the gap an audit fills.
Ready to find out what's actually holding you back?
Send a short message and we'll come back within one business day with the right audit for your situation and the timeline. No discovery call required; if you want one, we'll set it up after the first reply.
Replies typically within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
